LA PEDRERA

Also known as Casa Milà, this emblematic house designed by the architect Antoni Gaudí between 1906 and 1910, is world renowned for its rocky façade. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, it is one of the most popular buildings of interest in the city of Barcelona. With the Pedrera, Gaudí himself also wanted to transfer the forms of nature to architecture, highlighting on this occasion seaweed, or abstract details such as a dove, a theatre mask, a six-point star, flowers or the Catalan coat of arms itself.
